Counselor, Writer, and Thought Partner
I'm a writer, thought partner for authors, former marketing professional, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with authors who want to explore their work more fully and engage more thoughtfully in the writing process. While my clinical training informs how I work, the writing partner service is not therapy.
My path has woven together three disciplines that inform how I work with writers:
As a psychotherapy provider, I understand human motivation, cognitive patterns, emotional barriers, and the internal landscapes that shape creative work. Writing can be a deeply personal experience and my therapeutic training allows me to help writers identify and work through the personal obstacles that impact their writing process.
I have a degree in Creative Writing and experience writing content across multiple domains. I bring a writer's perspective to our conversations—I understand the craft, the struggle, and the particular challenges of translating complex ideas into compelling narrative.
With over 10 years working primarily within the marketing field, I know how to think strategically about messaging, audience connection, and clear communication. This perspective helps writers consider not just what they want to say, but how their message will land with readers.
Writing is one of the loneliest creative endeavors. Unlike collaborative art forms, most of the writing process happens in isolation—just you and your thoughts, without anyone to help you navigate the complexity until you're ready for an editor.
I created this service because I recognized a gap in support during the stages where early investment makes the biggest difference.
I've found that writers benefit from a partner earlier in the process, when they're still figuring out what they want to say and how to say it. They need someone who can help them think more comprehensively about their topic, identify blind spots and assumptions, and work through the internal barriers that lead them to either feel "stuck" in the project, or wish they had fleshed out the idea before the editor had unforeseen feedback.
This work brings together everything I know about human psychology, storytelling, and strategic communication to help writers explore their ideas more fully and create work that truly resonates.
